What We Did
This large commercial client wanted to reduce the impact of rising energy costs with a bespoke solar system to generate their own electricity. We designed a custom 100 kW solar network for their two large business units in Alcester, comprised of over 300 individual panels.
The solar panels were mounted to the steel-clad roofs using Metasol rails and clamps. Additionally, each panel was upgraded with SolarEdge optimisers, allowing them to be remotely monitored for reliable oversight. This optimisation also means that if one panel fails, the others will continue operating safely while repairs are conducted, reducing power disruptions.
The solar panel system was paired with two 25 kW SolarEdge inverters, which we mounted to a custom-made Unistrut frame. This keeps everything tidy and accessible and includes fire-fighter controls and a clear shutdown system for safety.
How We Did It
This client wanted to reduce their energy costs, and our system is now generating around 300 kW of electricity every day. The result is a saving of between 40% and 50% off the client’s energy bills each year.
After site inspection and careful system design, our engineering team carried out the installation using scaffolding and a full fall restraint system. This project was one of our largest to date, and was conducted seamlessly from start to finish.
