You can reduce the amount of time that your heat pump needs to be running by making sure your home is well insulated, allowing it to retain more of the heat produced. 

Can You Hear Air Source Heat Pumps Inside The House? 

If you sit in your garden, even with the kitchen window open, can you hear your fridge? Probably not. In most cases, you’re unlikely to be able to hear your heat pump from inside your home, certainly not above the background noise of most houses and residential areas.

Can Neighbours Hear Your Air Source Heat Pump?

However, the difference is usually negligible. It will need to run for longer, but the overall sound output is unlikely to be too noticeably different.
